How can I tell by looking at my snowboard that it's time to get it waxed?

If there are a lot of deep scratches in the back of you're bord and they're through the wax. Mostly too when you don't feel any wax, just like you feel that is all off. It is time to sharpen it, when you move you're nail over the side off the board and nothing scrapes off your nail, then it needs to sharpend.

if the base is greyish then that means its dry which means you should wax it.
